Privacy Policy

Collection and Use of Personal Information

Personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) is data that can be used to uniquely identify or contact a single person. You may be asked to provide Personal Information when you sign-in or create a CoffeeTable account. CoffeeTable and its affiliates may use and disclose this Personal Information consistent with this Privacy Policy. They may also aggregate your Personal Information with other information to provide and improve our products, services, content, and advertising. If you do not want us to use or disclose any of your Personal Information, other than any communications necessary to process CoffeeTable orders, please follow the instructions to opt-out under “Privacy Questions and Opt-Out” below.

What Personal Information We Collect

When you sign-in or create a CoffeeTable account, or when you use certain features of the CoffeeTable Application, we collect a variety of Personal Information, including your name, mailing address, phone number, email address, contact and email preferences, zip code, user behavior, and information and data regarding your user and shopping behavior relating to your engagement with the app and purchases. If you communicate with us by e-mail, post messages to the app or reviews of the app on iTunes, or otherwise complete online forms or surveys, any information provided in such communication may be collected as Personal Information. When you share content with family and friends using the CoffeeTable Application, CoffeeTable may also collect the information you provide about those people such as name, mailing address, email address, and phone number. We do not collect Financial Data (such as your account or credit card number); such data may be collected by third party vendors for payments processing.

If you access the CoffeeTable App through Facebook Connect, you understand that some content and/or information in your Facebook account (“Third Party Account Information”) may be transmitted into your account with us if you authorize such transmissions, and that Third Party Account Information transmitted is covered by this Privacy Policy.

If you create a user profile, including without limitation a user's username and any image content that you may upload to your account may be displayed to other users to facilitate user interaction within the Application.

We also collect non-personal information — data in a form that does not permit direct association with any specific individual. We may collect, use, transfer, and disclose non-personal information for any purpose. Such non-personal information may include IP addresses, domain servers, and types of devices accessing the app. You may choose not to sign-in or create a CoffeeTable account, but then you may not be able to access all of our content and features.

Use and Disclosure of Personal Information

When you make a purchase directly through the CoffeeTable, we share Personal Information you provided us with the retailer, including but not limited to your name, address, city, state, zip code, phone number, email address, and the other items of Personal Information described above. If you make a purchase directly from the retailer on their website, the collection of any personal information will be governed by the retailer’s privacy policy. Those retailers may use and share their data in accordance with their own privacy policies. Accordingly, we recommend that you review the privacy policy of retailers whose products you are interested in purchasing. We may also use Personal Information and non-personal information to help us develop, deliver, and improve our products, services, content, and advertising and may disclose Personal Information internally, with our affiliates and with carefully selected strategic retail partners when we believe their products or services may be of interest to you. To that end, unless you expressly request to opt-out, we will share your Personal Information with other third- party retailers, companies, and/or marketers who may want to send you information or advertisements about their products or services.

We may use Personal Information to contact you, by email or other means. For example, CoffeeTable or select retail partners may send you promotional offers. We may disclose information to third parties from time to time in order to help us bring you the best products and services. For example, we may work with an outside company to: (a) manage a database of customer information; (b) assist us in distributing emails; (c) assist us with direct marketing and data collection; (d) provide us storage and analysis; (d) provide fraud prevention; and (e) provide other services designed to assist us in maximizing our business potential. We require that these outside companies agree to keep confidential all information we share with them and to use the information only to perform their obligations in our agreements with them.

Cookies and Other Technologies

CoffeeTable's website, online services, interactive applications, email messages, and advertisements may use "cookies" and other technologies such as pixel tags and web beacons. These technologies help us better understand user behavior, tell us which parts of our website people have visited, and facilitate and measure the effectiveness of advertisements and web searches. We treat information collected by cookies and other technologies as non-personal information. However, to the extent that Internet Protocol (IP) addresses or similar identifiers are considered personal information by local law, we also treat these identifiers as personal information. Similarly, to the extent that non-personal information is combined with personal information, we treat the combined information as personal information for the purposes of this Privacy Policy. CoffeeTable and its partners use cookies and other technologies in mobile advertising services to, among other goals, control the number of times you see a given ad, deliver ads that relate to your interests, and measure the effectiveness of ad campaigns. If you do not want to receive ads with this level of relevance on your mobile device, you can opt out by contacting us here: http://www.coffeetable.com/contact/. If you opt out, you will continue to receive the same number of mobile ads, but they may be less relevant because they will not be based on your interests. You may still see ads related to the content on a web page or in an application or based on other non-personal information. This opt-out applies only to CoffeeTable advertising services and does not affect interest-based advertising from other advertising networks. CoffeeTable and our partners also use cookies and other technologies to remember personal information when you use our website, online services, and applications. Our goal in these cases is to make your experience with CoffeeTable more convenient and personal.

As is true of most Applications, we gather some information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type and language, Internet service provider (ISP), referring and exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data. We use this information for, among other things, to understand and analyze trends, to administer the program, to learn about user behavior on the software, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. CoffeeTable may also use this information in our marketing and advertising services. In some of our email messages, we use a "click-through URL" linked to content on the CoffeeTable website. When customers click one of these URLs, they pass through a separate web server before arriving at the destination page on our website. We track this click-through data to help us determine interest in particular topics and measure the effectiveness of our customer communications. If you prefer not to be tracked in this way, you should not click text or graphic links in the email messages. Pixel tags enable us to send email messages in a format customers can read, and they tell us whether mail has been opened. We may use this information to reduce or eliminate messages sent to customers.

Disclosure to other Third Parties

It may be necessary by law, legal process, litigation, and/or requests from public and governmental authorities within or outside your country of residence for CoffeeTable to disclose your personal information. We may also disclose information about you if we determine that for purposes of national security, law enforcement, or other issues of public importance, disclosure is necessary or appropriate. We may also disclose information about you if we determine that disclosure is reasonably necessary to enforce our terms and conditions or protect our operations or users. Additionally, in the event of a reorganization, merger, or sale we may transfer any and all personal information we collect to the relevant third party.

Protection of Personal Information

CoffeeTable takes precautions (including administrative, technical, and physical measures) to safeguard your personal information against loss, theft, and misuse, as well as against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.

Although we take appropriate measures to safeguard against unauthorized disclosures of information, we cannot assure you that your Personal Information will never be disclosed in a manner that is inconsistent with this Privacy Policy. YOU HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGE THAT COFFEETABLE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY SUCH INADVERTENT DISCLOSURES OR ANY INTERCEPTED INFORMATION SENT VIA THE INTERNET, AND YOU HEREBY RELEASE US FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE USE OF INTERCEPTED INFORMATION IN ANY UNAUTHORIZED MANNER.

Integrity and Retention of Personal Information

CoffeeTable makes it easy for you to keep your personal information accurate, complete, and up to date. We will retain your personal information for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

Access to Personal Information

You can help ensure that your contact information and preferences are accurate, complete, and up to date by logging in to your account and checking this information and preferences. For other personal information, we make good faith efforts to provide you with access so you can request that we correct the data if it is inaccurate or delete the data if CoffeeTable is not required to retain it by law or for legitimate business purposes. We may decline to process requests that are unreasonably repetitive, require disproportionate technical effort, jeopardize the privacy of others, are extremely impractical, or for which access is not otherwise required by local law. Access, correction, or deletion requests can be made to privacy@coffeetable.com.

Children

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected the personal information of a child under 13 we will take steps to delete the information as soon as possible.

Location-Based Services

To provide location-based services on CoffeeTable products, CoffeeTable, its affiliates and strategic partners may collect, use, and share precise location data, including the real-time geographic location of your tablet computer or device.

Third-Party Sites and Services

CoffeeTable websites, products, applications, and services contain links to third-party websites, products, and services. Our products are almost exclusively offered by third parties. Information collected by third parties, which may include such things as location data or contact details, is governed by their privacy practices. We encourage you to learn about the privacy practices of those third parties through their respective websites.

Privacy Questions and Opt-Out

If you have questions or concerns about CoffeeTable's Privacy Policy or data processing, please contact us at privacy@coffeetable.com with your questions. CoffeeTable may update its Privacy Policy from time to time. When we change the policy in a material way, a notice will be posted on our website along with the updated Privacy Policy. If you wish to remove yourself from our list of customers that receive direct mail or any form of email marketing, please email us at privacy@coffeetable.com. Because customer lists often are prepared well in advance of an offering (sometimes a few months before the offer is made), you may continue to receive some offers after you send us a request not to use your information for specified marketing purposes. We appreciate your patience and understanding in giving us time to carry out your request. Please note that we do not offer an opt-out from sharing non-public personally identifiable information about you amongst
